About Spring Garage Doors
Sydney's garage door specialists — repairs, installs and everything between
Spring Garage Doors was built on a simple idea: the biggest, heaviest moving thing in your house deserves a technician who understands the whole mechanism, not just the part that's easiest to sell you. We repair, install, replace and service garage doors right across Greater Sydney — homes, shops, warehouses and apartment car parks — and we answer the phone at 2am.

The whole door, not just the easy part
A garage door is a balanced mechanical system. The springs carry the weight, the cables transfer it, the rollers and tracks guide it, and the motor only ever nudges a door that is already balanced. When one of those is wrong, the symptom usually shows up somewhere else — which is why so many people are told they need a new motor when what they actually have is a fatigued spring. We test the door by hand before we blame anything electrical.
We work across the full spread of Sydney's housing, and it is a genuinely wide spread. The rear-lane tilt and roller doors of the inner-city terraces, many on openings under 2.4 metres and inside heritage conservation areas. The post-war brick houses of the middle ring, where original doors are reaching the end of a service life nobody expected to be this long. The near-new sectional doors in the north-west growth corridor. The salt-attacked doors along the coast. And — this is the part most garage door companies write around — the basement car parks, boom gates and commercial shutters that make up almost all of the work in the CBD and inner city, where the 2021 census records effectively no separate houses at all. Different building stock, different failures: a door in Bondi corrodes, a door in Surry Hills is constrained by geometry and council before anyone opens a catalogue, and a door in Beaumont Hills simply wears out from doing four cycles a day for fifteen years.
Every job starts with a free quote and ends with a door that is balanced, limits reset and the auto-reverse safety function tested. We don't publish prices, because the honest answer depends on your door — and we'd rather tell you a door isn't worth repairing than sell you a repair that won't last.

What we stand for
How we work
Genuinely 24/7
We answer and dispatch around the clock, every day of the year — not a call centre that takes a message and rings you back on Monday.
Diagnose, don't guess
Most 'dead motors' are a broken spring or a mis-set limit. We find the actual cause instead of replacing the most expensive part.
Every door, every brand
Sectional, roller and tilt — B&D, Steel-Line, Gliderol, Danmar, Taurean — plus Merlin, Chamberlain, ATA and Centurion motors.
Honest & upfront
A free quote before any work, no published prices, no surprises at the door — and an honest answer when a door isn't worth repairing.
Licensing & trust
Licensed, insured & accountable
Our technicians are licensed and insured, and our workmanship is guaranteed. In NSW, residential building work valued over $5,000 including GST must be carried out by a licensed contractor — and you are entitled to ask any contractor for their licence details before they start, with us or with anyone else. You can check any NSW licence yourself through Service NSW in about a minute. Ask us and we'll give you ours.
